I was born in Northern California where I was blessed to grow up without computers!  Though we did have one of the first TVs made, and I'm sure the Three Stooges will forever be stored in my memory.  My brother and I were free to explore our town, and spent most of our days out with friends, swimming, riding bikes, playing tennis or sand lot baseball... just having lots of fun.

During elementary school I was intrigued by my grandmother's Singer sewing machine and learned to make my own clothes by junior high school, where I also took my first art classes.  From then on, I was hooked and spent many happy hours making my creations. Later, as a young mother, I explored watercolor painting, ceramics, and jewelry making.  I also became active in theatre and ballet ... something I always wanted to do as a child.  This led me to costume designing for a local dance company.

After raising my two daughters and working for many years, I started making jewelry again in 2001, and continued until 2017.  Now that I'm retired, I've finally returned to painting and am loving the freedom of expression.

I consider my art experimental, because I work through several processes to get the finished product.  This method includes using water-based acrylics, mediums, finishes, alcohol inks, and textures made with a homemade impasto.  All creations are finished on the edges, so you can hang them without framing.

Having created all my life through painting, jewelry making, ceramics, ballet, plus costume design and execution.  I've found that no matter what the materials, colors, shapes and textures, creativity translates into wonderful discoveries.  It's my joy to bring something unique to my customers.  I hope that you enjoy my artwork as much as I enjoy the creative process.

Thanks for sharing my exploration of color and design!
